Minister of Malaysia's Foreign Affair, Y.B. Datuk Anifah bin Haji Aman approached the demonstration group to attempt changing their perspective on what everyone saw happened during the Bersih 2.0 rally at Kuala Lumpur on 9th July 2011.
Datuk Anifah was trying to indicate we do not know what exactly happened by asking, " How long have you not been back to Malaysia?"
Visit 'Bersih 2.0 UK Walk' on Facebook to see other photos and videos of what rakyat in London did for Bersih 2.0 Day and the 3-day Welcoming Demonstration for Najib & Rosmah.
The demonstration took place on 15 July 2011 at a small road divider/pavement in front of Intercontinental Hotel near Hyde Park Corner. It began from 6.45pm until slightly past 8pm. One of our objectives was to create awareness for the arriving guests of the event Najib & Rosmah were attending.
Leaders took turn to lead the chant and we shouted even louder when we realized Najib had just arrived. He escaped from facing us and from being seen because we were embarrassing him with our chants like, " Shame, shame, shame on you, Najib!
After Najib scrambled his way into the Intercontinental Hotel, we chanted for a while more. Then we sang this Yellow Submarine parody, Negaraku and observe a moment of silence before the gathering dispersed.
We know what we have done in London could be nothing compared to our fellow rakyat's bravery at the Bersih 2.0 rally in Malaysia. But thank goodness, at this foreign turf we get to humiliate the brutal PM without being harassed by police.
